Mumbai second most Honest City in the world: Reader's Digest

What would you do if you saw a wallet filled with money and owner ID written on it lying around unattended? Turns out in the financial capital of India, Mumbai, people are very likely to give it back. In a global survey carried out by Reader's Digest Mumbai was found to be the second most honest city after Helsinki, the capital of Finland. In the experiment 12 wallets were dropped in various parts of the city. Of the twelve dropped in Mumbai nine were returned! What was astonishing was that there was no constant demographic or socioeconomic spread among the takers and returners. It was observed that a young man driving an expensive car took the wallet whereas a poor old man returned the wallet, overall the number of wallets returned were greater than those taken.
